Driving Directions
Highway 108 California is accessible from Yosemite by taking Highway 120 via Big Oak Flat Road. Follow this road to California Highway 49. When you reach Highway 108, turn right to Sonora, California. Highway 108 runs from Sonora to Bridgeport. It is the best route to see amazing scenery and visit the many attractions along the way.

Tioga Pass/Tuolumne Meadows
During summer and early fall visitors using the East entrance of Yosemite may choose to explore Tioga Pass, take in the breathtaking views of the majestic Tuolumne Meadows or hike to the lakes of the high country.
Sonora Pass Opening
generally closes after the first heavy snowfall after October 31st. It does not reopen until late May the following year depending on snow conditions. During the winter months the high country is inaccessable by vehicle. At this time snowshoeing and cross country skiing can be used to access the high country using Tioga Road.
